The fine print behind our specifications, claims, and chemistry—in plain language.

Product performance & use

System specifications, operating ranges, dose levels, residuals, and performance examples shown on this website represent typical or illustrative installations. Actual operating requirements and results vary based on facility conditions, source-water quality, equipment configuration, application method, operating practices, and other factors. Specific outcomes are not guaranteed.

EPA registration & chemistry

CLEANTheory’s systems are built on an EPA-registered chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) product—Sabrechlor 25, EPA Reg. No. 73139-1, manufactured by Sabre Oxidation Technologies, Inc. and generated at the point of use. CLEANTheory deploys this chemistry under its own trademarks.

PATHox is CLEANTheory’s point-of-use chlorine dioxide solution generated from Sabrechlor 25, for hard-surface sanitation and water disinfection. FERTox is CLEANTheory’s branded name for the water and fertigation-line application of that same EPA-registered chlorine dioxide chemistry—dosed per the registered label (water and line sanitation at roughly 0.5–3 mg/L, with the treated-water residual kept below 0.8 ppm at any potable point of use). Both use the same EPA-registered chemistry under EPA Reg. No. 73139-1.

AIRRox is an automated, gas-phase chlorine dioxide system that operates under its own product label and is not covered by EPA Reg. No. 73139-1.

All pesticide products must be used strictly in accordance with their registered labels. It is a violation of federal law to use any such product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
